3mm 6v Pre-Wired UV / Purple LED - Ultra Bright (5v, 6v)

The 3mm 6V Pre-Wired UV Purple LED ships ready to install with Approximately 15cm (6 inches) leads and a built-in current-limiting resistor. Connect directly to USB power bank (5V), 4×AA battery pack (6V), Lemax Christmas village adapter (4.5V), Arduino 5V pin, or Raspberry Pi GPIO — no resistor calculation and no extra components needed. A uv/purple for blacklight effects, escape room props, and fluorescent material activation.

UV/purple creates blacklight effects that activate fluorescent paints, inks, and materials. A staple in escape room puzzles and cosplay glow effects.

The 3mm (T-1) head is the smallest standard DIP size — scales realistically at HO (1:87) and N (1:160) scale. Small enough to hide inside model structures, dollhouses, and tight enclosures. Fits all standard 3mm LED holders and bezels.

• Christmas village displays: Compatible with Lemax 4.5V DC adapters. Light up building interiors, storefronts, and scene accessories with a warm, even glow. Most village builders use 10–30 LEDs per display scene.

Note: Department 56 village accessories use 2.5–3V adapters, which are at the very bottom of this LED’s operating range. We recommend our standard component LEDs with a matching resistor for Department 56 builds.

Wiring

Red wire = positive (+). Black wire = negative (−). Reversing the wires will not damage the LED, but it will not light.
