Description / 0402 SMD Pure Green - Ultra Bright LED
The 0402 Pure Green SMD LED measures just 1.0 × 0.5mm (metric 1005) — the smallest surface-mount LED we carry. At this size, it disappears inside scale models and is barely visible on a PCB — but the output is strong enough to read as a clear indicator. Pure green (525nm) reads visibly brighter and more saturated than standard green — good for high-contrast status indicators.

At 1.0 × 0.5mm, these are at the limit of hand-soldering. Use flux paste, a fine-tip iron, and tweezers — or solder paste with reflow for volume work.

- N scale and Z scale model railroad — DCC decoder lighting, locomotive headlights, structure interiors where 1.8mm is too large
- Custom PCB design — DEF CON badges, SAO (Simple Add-On) boards, and compact hobby PCBs where board space is critical
