Description / 5mm 12v Pre-Wired Cool / Clear White LED - Ultra Bright (10v, 11v, 12v, 13v, 14v, 15v)
The 5mm 12V Pre-Wired Cool White LED ships ready to install with Approximately 15cm (6 inches) leads and a built-in current-limiting resistor. Connect directly to model railroad 12V accessory bus, automotive 12V system, RV house battery, marine 12V bus, or 12V DC power supply — no resistor calculation and no extra components needed. A cool white for modern commercial structure lighting on model railroad layouts, automotive dome lights, and panel indicators.
Cool white simulates fluorescent or modern LED lighting — the right choice for commercial buildings, gas stations, and industrial structures on model layouts.
The 5mm (T-1¾) head is the most popular standard DIP size. Fits all standard 5mm LED holders, bezels, and panel-mount clips. Versatile for model railroad structures, automotive, RC vehicles, and panel indicators.

Designed for
- Model railroad layouts: Wire directly to your 12V accessory bus — no resistor math, no external components. 5mm head works at HO (1:87) and O (1:48) scale. DCC and DC layouts alike.
- Automotive and motorcycle: Dashboard indicator relamp, footwell accent, instrument cluster backlight — connects directly to 12V vehicle electrical.
- RV and camper van: Dome light accent, reading light, porch light indicator — runs directly off your 12V house battery with no extra wiring.
- Marine and boat: Panel indicators for bilge pump, battery switch, and blower status. Note: these LEDs are not waterproof — mount in a protected location or inside a sealed enclosure.
- RC crawlers and scale vehicles: Headlights, taillights, and turn signals for Traxxas TRX-4, Axial SCX10, and 1/10 scale truck bodies. Direct-compatible with 7.2V–14.8V LiPo packs.
- Arcade cabinets and pinball: Illuminated pushbuttons (Sanwa/Seimitsu) from JAMMA 12V supply. Also backbox and playfield accent lighting for pinball restorations.
Wiring
Red wire = positive (+). Black wire = negative (−). Reversing the wires will not damage the LED, but it will not light.
