The 0805 Cool White SMD LED (2.0 × 1.25mm, metric 2012) is the most hobbyist-friendly SMD size — large enough to comfortably hand-solder with a standard fine-tip iron, small enough to fit on any modern PCB layout. The sweet spot between easy handling and compact footprint.
