5mm 12v Pre-wired Flickering / Candle Cool / Clear White LED - Ultra Bright

The 5mm 12V Pre-Wired Flickering Cool White LED has a built-in candle-flicker IC that randomly varies brightness to simulate a realistic flame — no controller, no programming, no microcontroller needed. This candle flicker LED connects directly to 12V DC and produces an organic, non-repeating flicker pattern on its own.

Ships ready to install with approximately 6" (15cm) pre-wired leads, a built-in current-limiting resistor, and heat-shrink protected connections. Connect directly to 10V – 15V DC — no resistor math, no extra components.

Cool white flicker creates an icy or supernatural flame effect for science fiction and fantasy props.

How the flicker works: A tiny IC inside the LED randomly modulates current to produce a natural, non-repeating flicker pattern. Unlike PWM dimming or microcontroller code, the pattern never loops — each LED flickers independently. Place multiple flickering LEDs in the same scene and they will naturally drift out of sync, creating an organic, non-synchronized shimmer.

The 5mm head is the most popular size for candle and flame builds — fits standard 5mm LED holders and is the right scale for jack-o’-lanterns, candelabras, village buildings, and escape room torches.

Wiring

Red wire = positive (+). Black wire = negative (−). LEDs are polarity-sensitive — reversing the wires will not damage the LED, but it will not light.

Factory leads are approximately 6" (15cm) pre-wired leads of stranded wire with heat-shrink protected solder joints. To extend: strip ¼" of insulation, twist matching wires (red to red, black to black), solder, and cover with heat-shrink tubing.
