The 2x5x7mm Rectangular Cool White LED is the standard replacement indicator for vintage audio receivers, ham radio equipment, and industrial control panels. The flat rectangular face sits flush behind panel cutouts and aligns perfectly with printed labels — a round LED in a rectangular indicator window looks wrong. This is the correct form factor.
Cool White is a modern cool white option for equipment where a clean, bright indicator is preferred over period-accurate warm colors.

Restorer’s note: When replacing LEDs in vintage audio equipment, check the original circuit’s current-limiting resistor value. Most receivers from the 1970s–80s were designed for 10–20mA indicator LEDs with resistors already on the board. If the original LED was incandescent, you may need to add or change the resistor.
