The 10 Watt High Power Blue High Power LED delivers significantly more output than standard 20mA indicator LEDs — built for applications where brightness matters: flashlight builds, grow lights, reef aquarium fixtures, stage lighting, and DIY fishing lights.
Blue/royal blue wavelength is critical for reef aquarium coral growth (zooxanthellae photosynthesis) and drives dramatic coral fluorescence.

Mounting: Requires a substantial heatsink and active cooling (fan) for continuous operation. Thermal management is critical at 10W — without adequate heatsinking, the LED will overheat and fail rapidly.

Power and thermal management
At 10W, thermal management is critical. This LED requires a substantial aluminum heatsink and active cooling (fan) for continuous operation — without adequate heatsinking it will overheat and fail rapidly. Use thermal paste between the LED and heatsink. Use a constant-current LED driver (Meanwell LDD series, BuckPuck) rather than a simple resistor — constant-current drivers maintain consistent brightness and prevent thermal runaway.
