End Glow Fiber Optic Filament — PMMA fiber optic filament that emits light from the tip only, leaving the run dark. The signature look for starfield ceilings, model railroad signals, dollhouse interior fairy lights, and precise point-light effects.

Available diameters (10 ft per unit):

• 0.25 mm — hair-thin, perfect for distant pinpoint stars and the smallest scale-model details
• 0.50 mm — fine pinpoints, N-scale signal indicators
• 0.75 mm — fine accents, HO-scale signals
• 1.0 mm — strong pinpoint, fairy-light dot lighting
• 1.2 mm — bold accent, slot-car indicators
• 1.5 mm — prominent point lights
• 2.0 mm — visible feature lights for larger dioramas
• 2.5 mm — pronounced point lights for window or porch glow
• 3.0 mm — strongest single-tip emission, ideal for vehicle headlights in larger scales

How it works: One LED in a light source (light box or single LED with reflector cup) can drive many filaments at once. Strip the cladding 1-2 mm at each end, polish for a clean cut, then couple to your light source. Each filament carries the same color light from the source to its tip. Combine multiple sizes from one light box for a natural-looking varied star field.

Sold by length. Each quantity represents one 10 ft length of fiber optic filament. If you order more than one, the fiber will be sent as one continuous piece. For example, ordering a quantity of 3 gives you a single continuous 30 ft length of fiber.
