Multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) rated 50V, available from 10nF to 0.47µF. Non-polarized — suitable for AC or DC circuits in either orientation. MLCCs offer better capacitance stability over temperature and voltage than standard ceramic disc capacitors, making them the preferred choice where precision decoupling or stable filter response matters.

Common uses:
- IC power supply decoupling: The 0.1µF (100nF) value is the standard bypass capacitor placed across every IC's Vcc and GND pins — reduces switching noise and prevents supply rail glitches from coupling between chips.
- Audio and filter circuits: Stable capacitance over temperature makes MLCCs suitable for audio crossover networks, tone controls, and RC filters where drift would shift the response.
- Arduino and microcontroller circuits: Bypass caps on power pins prevent reset glitches. The 0.1µF value appears in virtually every embedded circuit design. See our decoupling capacitor guide for exactly where and how to place them.
- Higher-temperature applications: Rated to +125°C vs. +105°C for standard ceramic disc — suitable where elevated ambient temperatures are expected.
